Day 04

Yala (205 km 3 hrs)
Yala is situated in the southeast region of the country. It is the second largest national park in Sri Lanka. The park covers 979 square kilometers (378 sq mi) and is located about 300 kilometers (190 mi) from Colombo. The park is best known for its variety of wild animals. It is important for the conservation of Sri Lankan elephants, Sri Lankan leopards, and aquatic birds.

The capital of the Central Province, Kandy is a metropolis of administration and religion. One of the holiest temples in the Buddhist religion, the Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa) is located in Kandy. In 1988, UNESCO designated it as a world heritage property. The colonial growth and occupation of Portuguese, Dutch, and British were historically resisted by the local Buddhist rulers.

Negombo (150km 3Hrs)
Negombo is situated on the west coast and at the mouth of Negombo lagoon, In the western province, 38 km from Colombo via Colombo – Katunayake Expressway and about 10 km from Bandaranayake International Airport. Negombo is one of the major commercial hubs and it has long sandy beaches and centuries all fishing industry. Negombo is a multi religious city but the majority are the Roman Catholic. There are over 25 Roman Catholic Churches in the city. It has been given the name little Rome. Negombo is considered on of the largest economic centers of the country. The economy of Negombo is mainly based on tourism, fishing, cinnamon, ceramic, and brassware and also the Colombo stock exchange Negombo branch is going to open International food outlets there as a big project. Negombo city is one of the main tourist destinations in Srilanka. We can see several kinds of hotels and they are very famous for seafood.

• Children between two and six years are given a discount of 60 percent of the per-person adult rate on transfers, excursions, and package tours provided they share a room with two adults
• Children between seven to twelve years old are given a 50 percent discount of the per person adult rate on transfers, excursions, and package tours provided they share the room with two adults
• A maximum of two children per party are granted the above-mentioned discounts. Children who require their own rooms are charged as adults
